We also have an Epson 9600 with UltraChrome ink that we use to print archival fine art black and white, watercolor and canvas prints. It is 360ppi and can print up to 43.5" wide. |

| How can I send my images to DeltaQuest? | Either via high speed internet or on a CD shipped using a common carrier. Image Upload |
| Who pays for in-bound shipping? | We will provide complimentary UPS Ground inbound labels. |
| I don't have internet access. Can I still use your lab? | Yes, however as of March 1, 2003, all orders must be submitted via our database. This does not require a high speed connection, dial-up is sufficient. We recommend any provider EXCEPT AOL. |
| How fast does my high speed internet service need to be? | If you wish to use it to transfer image files to us, ideally it should allow you to "push" files at 384kbps or better. |
| How do I "calibrate" my monitor to DeltaQuest's output? | There is no need to do this. We color correct every image that goes through the lab (over 175,000 last year). We will work with you so that you are sending us reasonably good files. |
| Is there a discount if I do my own color? | Yes. You will save $0.99 per image and you will receive a 20% discount on the prints. |
| Can you match a "guide print?" | Yes, we can get very close. It costs $15.00/image & adds 3-4 days to turnaround |
| What is your turnaround time? | Most orders ship within 2-4 business days of us receiving the order and the images. |
| What if I need my prints more quickly. | We provide three levels of rush service. Same day, next day, and two day. Canvas mounting on rush shipments may or may not be possible. All other finishes are included in rush turnaround time; i.e: no additional time is needed for other finishes. |
| How can I pay? | We accept Visa or MasterCard, COD. Open accounts are subject to credit approval and are Net 15 End Of Month, meaning payment for all invoices issued in January is due by February 15th. |
| When is the current pricing effective? | 1-Aug-2004 |
| Are there price breaks for prints? | Yes, there are various levels of quantity breaks. Please see the pricing sheet. |
| I have a Fuji S1 or Canon D30 or Nikon D1 camera. Will you print my work? | Yes, but we can't guarantee the color. Buy an S2, 1Ds or D100. Better yet, buy a Nikon D2x or Canon 1Ds Mark II. The color on the cameras in question is too erratic. |
| How do you ship? | We ship complimentary UPS to arrive at your studio in Two Days. |
| Do I pay for shipping? | Only for customer-requested expedited shipping. We will get it to you in two days or less on us. Also, we have recently implemented a policy whereby we will charge you the published rate for shipments that are classified by UPS as "Oversize 1 or 2". |
| What is the "best" camera? | It depends. For Seniors (or studios where the vast majority of the prints are 20x24 or smaller) the Canon 10D, Nikon D100 or Fuji S2 are typically more than adequate. For families, larger groups and images where the subject is a relatively small portion of the image, we recommend a Kodak Pro N/C or Canon 1Ds or Mark II. |
| Do you offer Package Printing (Pick-a-Pac, sports, dances, underclass)? | Yes. Absolutely! It is competitively priced and the quality and turnaround is amazing. |
| What is the "best" computer for working with digital image files? | We absolutely, positively recommend one or more Power Macintosh G5s. They are incredibly fast, rock solid stable and really well built. |
| What kind of paper do you use? | We use Kodak Endura(tm) digital photographic paper exclusively. Our standard surface is "E" or Lustre. We also stock Metallic, "F" Glossy and "N" Matte, although turnaround times for these surfaces are generally one to three days longer than standard. |
| Do you offer Kodak Endura Metallic Paper? | Yes, we do. Prints on Metallic are 25% more than standard "E" surface prints. |
| Do you offer a Web Proofing service for my customers to view their images? | We sure do. Give us a call for information and pricing. You can click here to view a sample site. |
| How big of a print can you make from my (___)MB file? | Quality is a very subjective attribute and highly dependent on the content of the image, the quality of the camera, the lighting and the shooter. One studio's beautiful 8x10 is another's toilet paper. We like to produce the best possible prints with the available technology. We won't make ANY judgment calls on whether an image will look good at a particular size. We'll print a 30x40 from your cell phone camera picture. If you want to judge for yourself, scale your image to the desired output size (@ 254 ppi for files greater than 11x14; and @ 400 ppi for 11x14 and down) and use the Marquee Tool to take an 8x10 piece out of the image. Send that in and we'll print it. You can hang it on the way at a reasonable viewing distance and evaluate it yourself. |
